Wizard: Send email

This wizard is used to carry out the process of sending e-mails to a particular group of contacts.

GO TO E-MAIL MARKETING => SEND EMAIL => NEW EMAIL => USE THE EARLIER EDITOR

The process consists of 5 stages:

  • E-MAIL,
  • CONFIGURATION,
  • PREVIEW,
  • ADDRESSEES,
  • ANALYTICS

 

[A] EMAIL
At this stage, choose one of the existing templates of message or build a new one.

[1] Message name – enter the name to allow the identification of message in the system.

[2] Create email in creator – when clicking the button, drag & drop wizard appears. Find more information how to use drag & drop creator >>

[3] Create HTML email – when choosing this option HTML wizard, wherein you can add an existing template or build it from scratch in HTML code, appears. Find out more how you can create template in HTML here >>

[4] Add email saved in ZIP email – add new, or already prepared and saved in ZIP format, template. File should be saved on you computer.

TIP: Consider adding a preview link to your email template. A preview link lets recipients open the message in a new window if, for some reason, it did not display properly in their inbox. For best user experience, use clear instructions, such as “Click here if this email doesn’t display properly.” Whether you use HTML wizard, the email creator or create templates manually and complement the content of an email, you should link your text to an attribute $preview$.

[5] Select existing email – add the template saved in the system.

[6] NEXT –  to advance to the next stage click NEXT.

 

[B] CONFIGURATION

At this stage configure messages:

[1] Subject – the subject displayed in receivers’ inbox after sending message.

[2] UTM Campaign (for Google Analytics monitoring) – if you use UTM parameters in direct links, you can specify the name for CAMPAIGN parameter at URL addresses of added messages.

[3] Select email account – choose the e-mail account that a message will be sent from.

[4] Add new email account – create new e-mail marketing account. How to configure a sending account >>

  • [1] Name– internal account name used to its identification in the system,
  • [2] Display name – sender’s name displayed, before – email subject, in addressee’s inbox.
  • [3] Email – provide the e-mail address, you want to send message from,
  • [4] Reply-to email– e-mail address, that the replies sent from this account will be directed to. If the e-mail address does not exist outside SALESmango, it must be replaced with an existing one,
  • [5] Reply-to display name – name to be displayed as a reply message name.

[4] i [5] Following steps can be omitted if data is the same as in the field [2] and [3]. Click OK and your account is ready for mailing (For the security purposes, account must be approved by SALESmanago tutor).

To advance to the next stage click Next button.

[C] PREVIEW

In this section you can preview and test the message once again.

[1] Send test – click the button to send test message (max 20 email addresses). It is always worth it to run a test first and make sure the email is displayed properly and doesn’t include any mistakes.

[2] Edit – click here to edit your email template.

[3] Next – to advance to choosing the group of recipients option click Next button.

[D] ADDRESSEES

[1] Addressees – enter a group of recipients you want to send the message to.
There are many ways to define addressees:

  • entering particular e-mail addresses manually
  • using selectors, e.g. ALL – that means choosing all the e-mail addresses in the database, find out more about selectors here >>
  • using tags – by choosing a particular stage of sales funnel, groups of contacts a message have been sent to, or a group of contacts defined earlier
  • choosing advanced filtering
  • excluding some email addresses which you definitely do not want to send message to

[2] Estimated number of addressees – here the number of estimated addressees a message will be sent to appears.
[3] Send on date – choose whether a message will be sent immediately or in a specified time.

IMPORTANT: After you schedule an email to be sent later, you will be able to change only the content of the template (pictures, text, links and so on). Changes to other settings will not apply to the scheduled email. However, if you delete the mailing before the scheduled sending date, the emails won’t be sent out.  Learn how it works >>

[4] Send – to send message click the button.
